Here’s an intriguing number for you – 21,362.
That is the number of illegal immigrants that have been arrested during President Trump’s first seven weeks in office, a surge from the previous year by nearly 33%.
Records from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) indicate over 5,000 more illegal immigrants have been arrested than had been during the same time frame in 2016.

Via the Daily Caller:
There were roughly a third more immigration arrests in the first two months of Donald Trump’s presidency compared to the same time period last year.
The Washington Post obtained arrest records from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) between Jan. 20 and March 13, which showed that 21,362 illegal immigrants were arrested, compared to 16,104 arrests in the same time period last year.
President Trump ran on a platform advocating tough immigration enforcement, and in the early days of his time in office signed an executive order that removed restrictions placed on immigration officials by President Barack Obama’s administration. It said that ICE no longer had to prioritize the arrest of criminal illegal immigrants.
In addition to those with criminal records, arrests for illegal immigrants with no prior history (aside from the fact they’ve broken immigration laws obviously) have more than doubled during that time.
In January, President Trump announced a series of executive orders providing the Department of Homeland Security “with additional resources, tools and personnel to carry out the critical work of securing our borders, enforcing our immigration laws, and ensuring that individuals who pose a threat to national security or public safety cannot enter or remain in our country.”
Those orders appear to be in full effect, as enforcement of our immigration laws is something the American people are beginning to witness.
Dan Satterberg, the lead prosecutor in Washington state’s King County, told the Washington Post, “My sense is that ICE is emboldened in a way that I have never seen.”
It doesn’t appear that President Trump plans to pull back any time soon either, having just appointed two individuals with strong convictions on illegal immigration to high-level positions at the Department of Homeland Security.
Like and share this post if you’re happy to see an increase in illegal immigrant arrests!
The pace will soon increase. The focus remains on those with outstanding final removal orders, those with felony or otherwise violent criminal convictions, those with clear gang affiliations, and those in the criminal justice system. So you can all stop blubbering about the “poor immigrants who did nothing wrong, have been here for decades, have worked hard and paid taxes, have raised families, have made this country their home and are now being deported.” It ain’t happenin’. Don’t believe me? DACA and DAPA are still in effect.

We need E-Verify ‘with’ STIFF penalties for employers who employ illegals.

Doesn’t take much to make Obama look like a failure. He is what he is: a failure.
You are wrong david, Obama did what he did on purpose because he hates the USA.

Everything Trump does puts Obama to shame. Trump is a winner, while Obama always was, and always will be a LOSER.
Set a bounty on them!!! Sell “hunting” licenses/special tags, then let people know where the collection point is, to turn them in!!! Require video of the capture to prove humane treatment…..I’ll even chip in toward the purchase of the 1000’s of zip-ties needed.
They could pay by the head, makes no difference to me.
keep up the good work…
It’s because they are allowed to do their jobs and not hinder it in any way.
