Obama’s Personal Wall Around His House is Complete

It’s been said that if liberals didn’t have double standards, they wouldn’t have any standards at all, and that’s at full display on the border debate.

Take Mexico’s opposition to a border wall at the U.S.-Mexico border as an example. Former Mexican President Vincente Fox called Trump’s proposed wall a “racist monument” – apparently without a hint of irony in the fact that Mexico has stricter immigration laws than we do. Mexico has an illegal immigration problem of their own (those immigrating illegally from Central America), and deports more Central American illegals than we do in the U.S.

Among the criteria one must meet to immigrate legally to Mexico are as follows:

  • Foreigners are admitted into Mexico “according to their possibilities of contributing to national progress.”
  • Immigration officials must “ensure” that “immigrants will be useful elements for the country and that they have the necessary funds for their sustenance” and for their dependents.
  • Foreigners may be barred from the country if their presence upsets “the equilibrium of the national demographics.”

Of course, the third bullet point would be listed as “racist” had America used the same justification for our immigration laws.

Mexico is for illegal immigration into America because it benefits them – and against illegal immigration from Central America because it’s a drain on them.

They’re not the only hypocrites out there. Former President Barack Obama is the latest to speak out against Trump’s proposed border, stating:

“We have to recognize that everything that happens on the other side of the world affects us as well,” he said in Berlin during a conversation with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. “If there’s conflict, if there’s bad governance, if there’s war, if there’s poverty, in this new world that we live in we can’t isolate ourselves. We can’t hide behind a wall.”

Ironically, Obama is among those who hide behind a wall.

Now it’s not like Obama had demanded that Mexico pay for his wall – but this act of hypocrisy is too large to ignore.
