Hillary Clinton to Give Weinstein Donations to Charity

Nearly a week after the news broke, Hillary Clinton is finally addressing the countless allegations of sexual misconduct against Hollywood titan Harvey Weinstein. What he’s been accused of has apparently been the largest open-secret in Hollywood.

To give just a few examples of just how open the secret was, consider the following tweet from 2010:

Back in 2012, an episode of 30 Rock featured an exchange that poked fun at Weinstein, seeming to foreshadow the scandal today. The character of Jenna utters the references, revealing that she had “turned down intercourse with Harvey Weinstein on no less than three occasions.” In season seven’s tenth episode Jenna says: “Look, I get it. I know how former lovers can have a hold of you long after they’re gone. In some ways, I’m still pinned under a passed-out Harvey Weinstein and it’s Thanksgiving.”

When hosting the 2013 Oscars, Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane quipped after naming five female nominees: “Congratulations, you five ladies no longer have to pretend to be attracted to Harvey Weinstein.” He confirmed yesterday that the joke came from a place of rage after an actress he worked with (Jessica Barth) told him her own experiences with Weinstein.

And those are just three notable examples.

If it was an open secret in Hollywood, how did the Democrat establishment not know about it when taking tens of millions of dollars from the prurient producer? That’s an open question. But many are wondering why it took Hillary nearly a week to address the situation.  She first put out a statement on Twitter….. sort of. Rather than posting a message of her own, she had her former campaign’s communications director post a comment from her, which she re-tweeted.

She then made an appearance on CNN to discuss them.

“What other people are saying, what my former colleagues are saying, is they’re going to donate it to charity, and of course I will do that,” Clinton said on CNN. “I give 10 percent of my income to charity every year, this will be part of that.”

And speaking of sexual assault accusers, Larry Elder has the million dollar question:

What do you think? Is Hillary right to give the Weinstein donations to charity? Tell us your thoughts below!
