GIRL POWER: These 5 Pistol-Packing Women Saved the Day!

I am woman, hear me roar!

With guns too powerful to ignore!

Seeing as March is Women’s History Month and today is “International Women’s Day,” I wanted to celebrate a few heroic everyday women. These brave women from across the country defended themselves and others with the ultimate equalizer: a gun.

Here are five stories of badass, gun-totting heroines who saved the day in the first two months of 2017.

Woman Scares Off Carjacker

A Boise woman was about to fend off a carjacker who opened the driver’s side door and demanded her keys and purse while beating her upside the head. That’s when she grabbed her pistol:

“He got my face once, and my forehead once, and when that didn’t work he grabbed my hair and began pulling me out of my car and I finally said ‘OK, OK, that’s enough stop! I’ll give you my purse,” said the woman.

So he did. That’s when the woman got the upper hand.

“When I turned to give him my purse, I reached in my center console and I grabbed my gun and I pointed it at him, and it scared him off,” the woman said.

The woman says the man ran down an alley that leads to the back of a nearby Albertsons grocery store. He disappeared from sight. She can only wonder what might have happened if she didn’t have her pistol.

“He probably would’ve dragged me out of my car and kept beating me… I honestly don’t know if he would have stopped,” the woman said.

Pregnant Woman Saves Self and Child From Home Invasion

A pregnant Phoenix woman with a child defended her home against an intruder trying to break in at 2am.

Police say a woman woke up to the sound of a man breaking into the back window of her home. The woman grabbed a gun and fired in the direction of the man attempting to gain entry.

It does not appear the suspect was hit by the gunfire, and the suspect fled the scene. It was not immediately known if the suspect left the area on foot or in a vehicle.

The female homeowner and child in the home were shaken up but physically unharmed.

Woman Kills Man Attempting To Rob Friends

A St. Louis woman shot and killed 20-year-old Jarrett Richardson as he and another burglar tried to rob her and two friends at an apartment.

Investigators learned Richardson and another man entered the apartment and attempted to rob its three occupants: two 21-year-old women and a 24-year-old man.

Jackson said one of the women obtained her own firearm and started shooting at the suspects, striking Richardson and killing him.

The other suspect ran away and remains at large, Jackson said.

Grandmother Chases Away Intruder With Gun

This quick-thinking Texas grandmother was able to grab her gun and shoot at a gunman who had broken into her home at night.

Rebbie Roberson, 74, was just about to watch the news Sunday night when someone wearing gloves and a mask broke into her home.

“And when I started to get up, he was in here on me, with a gun facing me right to my face,” she described.

What she did next took the gunman by surprise.

“So I had to walk right out in front of him,” Roberson said, as she recalled the harrowing encounter. “I didn’t know if he was going to kill me or what.”

She had her own weapon on a table nearby.

“I reached over there and grabbed this gun. And when I swerved around, I pointed it at him and he ran,” she added.

With her .38-caliber pistol in hand, Roberson said she followed him, all the while firing her gun and leaving bullet holes in the walls of her home.

Woman Fends Off Ex-Boyfriend

A Jackson woman had a scare when her ex-boyfriend tried to break into her home in the early hours of the morning. Luckily she had a gun to protect herself from what could have been a deadly case of domestic violence.

Jackson Police responded to 2330 Castle Hill Drive sometime Sunday morning to a domestic dispute.

JPD confirms a woman shot her ex-boyfriend after he broke into her home.

27-year-old Eugene Ladell was shot once. He was later taken to the hospital and listed in stable condition.

You go, girls! This one’s for you!
