Flashback: Susan Rice Claimed ‘I Know Nothing’ About Unmasking Trump Officials

As was previously reported, former president Obama’s National Security Advisor, Susan Rice, has been outed as the source for inappropriately ‘unmasking’ Trump administration officials.

Rice claimed just weeks ago that she knew “nothing” about intelligence reports that were cited and used to unmask members of Trump campaign and transition team.

“I know nothing about this,” she asserted, adding “nothing of the sort occurred.”

You can watch her PBS interview below …

Bear in mind, this is the same woman who went on five separate news programs in the wake of the Benghazi terrorist attacks and lied to the American people saying it was the result of a YouTube video. She’s not exactly a bastion of truth.

Via the Free Beacon:

Susan Rice, former President Barack Obama’s national security adviser, reportedly requested on several occasions the identities of “masked” U.S. persons in intelligence reports linked to President Trump’s transition and campaign. The revelation contradicts Rice’s past comments on March 22, when she claimed she knew “nothing” about the intelligence reports.

White House lawyers discovered Rice’s dozens of requests last month, during a National Security Council review of the “government’s policy on ‘unmasking’ the identities of individuals in the U.S. who are not targets of electronic eavesdropping, but whose communications are collected incidentally,” Eli Lake of Bloomberg reported Monday, citing U.S. officials.

But Rice, who Newsweek once called Obama’s “right-hand woman,” denied during a PBS interview last month having any knowledge of the intelligence community’s alleged incidental surveillance of Trump’s transition team.

It is a huge scandal in the making …

Former Ambassador John Bolton told Fox News that the revelations on Rice being the one who ordered names unmasked is “stunning news.”

“If … her real motivation was political, she was committing a kind of fraud on the intelligence gathering system,” he charged.

“If she participated in that kind of fraud to help the political misuse of that intelligence she’s got serious legal problems here.”
