It’s taken a national tragedy for ESPN to find the National Anthem worthy of being played before an NFL football game.
The liberal sports network had previously agreed to airing the anthem prior to Monday Night Football games on only one occasion – on the night of the anniversary of the September 11th attacks.
They then decided to air the anthem when it became clear last week that players were going to protest President Trump, and it would serve as furthering their agenda.
Now, they’ve finally determined that a good time to come together as Americans is after an attack in Las Vegas that has thus far claimed the lives of 58 people, and injured well over 500.
ESPN says following the tragic events in Las Vegas, they will now air the national anthem before MNF tonight followed w. moment of silence.

The National Anthem should have been aired by the network all along. Unity, coming together as Americans, showing support for those in their time of suffering, should be a weekly matter.
With that said, we applaud the move by ESPN to show the pre-game ceremonies and moment of silence. America could use something to help bring them together after this tragedy.
Tonight’s game will feature the Washington Redskins and the Kansas City Chiefs. At last week’s game against the Oakland Raiders, seven players from the Redskins were seen kneeling during the anthem. The Chiefs meanwhile, also had several players kneeling.

It will be intriguing to see if, in light of the anthem being aired specifically because of the Las Vegas tragedy, the players in tonight’s game have the audacity to make it about them and disrespect those who were brutally killed Sunday night.
One witness to the Las Vegas shooting took a shot at NFL protesters and praised police officers and other first responders who risked their own lives to help victims.
“In a world where everyone’s kneeling, I saw hundreds of people standing up and running towards the danger,” Russell Bleck said on “Happening Now.”
Perhaps the NFL could actually do something positive and productive with tonight’s game, and guide the nation towards healing instead of divisiveness.
