President Donald Trump is making headlines after his speech at the National Rifle Association’s annual meeting in Atlanta, Georgia.
We saw Trump speak in his unscripted, campaign-style and he noted he was the only candidate in 2016 to actively seek the gun vote and an NRA endorsement. Trump noted that this may change in the future, as we now see just how important pro-gun voters and the NRA are.
Then, Trump noted that his opponent in 2020 may be a staunchly anti-Second Amendment candidate: “Pocahontas.” He’s referring to nickname for Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) who said she’s part Native American.
Here is how Trump dropped the bombshell about a likely warren candidacy:
PRICELESS: Trump just called phony Elizabeth Warren Pocahontas. That’s exactly what she deserves for faking Native American ancestry.👌 pic.twitter.com/qOQqKBjX9s

Liberal reporters are furious at Trump for mocking Warren’s shameless promotion of her heritage:
Trump calling Warren Pocahontas is racist. We kind of gloss over it at this point. But this is the president being racist.

The United States President referring to a sitting United States Senator as “Pocahontas” is something we should continue to be shocked by.

Warren has been cautious in recent interviews about a 2020 run, noting that she’s focused on her 2018 re-election campaign for the U.S. Senate. But Warren, who also has a book to promote, recently attacked former President Obama for accepting $400,000 for a Wall Street speech:
Former President Obama is coming under fire from a member of his own party over an upcoming speech in September paid for by Wall Street firm Cantor Fitzgerald LP.
“I was troubled by that,” Senator Elizabeth Warren, D-Massachusetts, a fierce Wall Street critic, said on Thursday during in an interview with Sirius XM’s “Alter Family Politics” program.
Trump is right and it’s clear that – at the very least – Warren is testing the waters for a 2020 presidential campaign.
