One Detail About Trump’s Border Wall Plan Has Liberals Fuming

President Trump’s border wall has moved to the planning stages, with contractors submitting design bids and prototypes being built and tested.

A huge section of the wall will need to cover California, the state that is openly defying Trump – recently becoming a sanctuary state.

And in typical Trump fashion, he’s getting revenge with one subtle move that will leave them furious!

The Trump administration is building the prototype in California… in San Diego County.

What an absolute thumb in the eye to those California liberals!

Via Conservative Tribune:

According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, a statement from U.S. Customs and Border Protection confirmed on Monday that prototypes will be built on federal land in Otay Mesa, a community in San Diego County.

Aside from being in one of the most liberal areas of the most liberal state in the land, Otay Mesa is also home to one of two border crossings in the county. In other words, it’s the perfect place to put up the prototype walls.

Up to 20 firms will be competing in the design round, according to the Union-Tribune, although The Associated Press had previously reported the number as between four and 10. The prototypes are expected to cost between $200,000 and $400,000.

California Governor Jerry Brown recently took a shot at the President’s proposed border wall, saying it has “a lot of odor here of kind of a strongman.”

“The wall, to me, is ominous,” he added. “It reminds me too much of the Berlin Wall.”

Now, Brown can get a close up view of the ‘ominous’ wall, as the prototypes will be tested in a heavily trafficked area and closely monitored by law enforcement agencies and Customs and Border Protection. Perhaps he can get a better understanding of what it looks like to enforce laws and protect Americans.

As for the contractors, California lawmaker Ricardo Lara is so furious with the wall that he’s introduced a bill that would forbid the state from doing business with any participating construction companies.

“I introduced Senate Bill 30 to give our state a louder voice to say that building a wasteful and unnecessary wall would be a huge mistake,” Lara announced.

The winning border wall design will be chosen around June 1st according to officials.
