Democrats Using Fake Collection Letters to Raise Funds

How bad are Democrat fundraising numbers?

After posting morbidly low numbers in July – $3.8 million for the DNC compared to $10.2 million for the RNC – along with historically low numbers in May, the Democrats are running out of ideas to up their cash flow.

“We really should be kicking their a***s,” one donor fumed. “It shouldn’t even be close, considering all hell is breaking loose on their side.”

So the obvious solution for the Democrats wasn’t to shore up their platforms, better explain their policies, or even re-work their atrocious new motto – it was to send out fundraising letters that look exactly like collection letters.

Via Gateway Pundit:

Amid a fundraising and messaging crisis, the Democrats are desperate to pull the party back from the brink of destruction. Tom Perez’s plan? Sending out of touch and crude fundraising letters to working class people that look like collection letters. Another gaffe by the party of Obama, Hillary, Pelosi and Schumer.

Seriously? Do they really think their base is dumb enough to fall for such a scam?

Sure, they tend to be of the low information variety, but it’d take a NO information voter to fall for that. You know, the kind who responds to letters from a Nigerian prince with their bank account information.

One social media user said they wouldn’t be surprised if the letters inside were crafted to resemble an actual bill or collection notice.

Lo and behold …

Democrats in New York tried a similar tactic in 2014, threatening voters with letters stating that their “official voting records” were being monitored, and if they didn’t turn out to vote Democrat they would “be interested to hear why not.”

Shaking down your own voters. What could possibly go wrong?

Aside from the July numbers, this chart shows just how bad things are for the DNC these days. Take a look at the cash-on-hand and debt columns in this chart:

With that kind of debt, perhaps they should be sending real collection letters to Tom Perez and the rest of the DNC leadership.
