An unlikely source came to the defense of President Donald Trump regarding internal government leaks that are plunging the administration into chaos.
Former congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) appeared with Sean Hannity to discuss the attacks on the President.
Kucinich claims that the “deep state” – the permanent bureaucrats who comprise the military and spy community – is trying to “destroy Donald Trump’s presidency.”
He warned Americans that “Our country itself is under attack from within,” and defined the leaks against President Trump as a “clear and present danger.”

Former Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) said Americans must put party politics aside and acknowledge that the federal government is “under attack from within.”
Kucinich said the “deep state” within the bureaucracy is trying to “destroy Donald Trump’s presidency.”
He said there is a “politicization” of intentionally nonpartisan agencies that has resulted in leaks to the press and a “threat to our republic.”
This isn’t the first time Kucinich warned about the “deep state” trying to take down Trump.
In February, the former congressman claimed the intelligence community was trying to reignite the cold war era between the United States and Russia.
“The American people have to know that there’s a game going on inside the intelligence community,” Kucinich claimed. “At the bottom of all this is the fact that there are those that seek to separate US from Russia to reignite the cold war … wake up America!!”
Wake up, indeed. The Trump administration needs to wake up to this reality as well, and clean house of any leakers or Obama-era holdovers. He no longer has any other option.
Kucinich made news this past March when he admitted that President Trump’s wiretapping claims weren’t exactly far-fetched. Why? Because it had been done to him.
“I was wiretapped in 2011 after taking a phone call in my congressional office from a foreign leader,” Kucinich claimed.
It appears the “deep state” has been embedded and spread like a cancer over several years under the Obama administration.
