State Department Science Envoy Daniel Kammen Resigns – A Leftover From the Obama-Era

You might be thinking: Why on Earth does the State Department have a “Science Envoy”? If so, that’s a good question.

Regardless, Daniel Kammen, a professor of energy at the University of California, Berkeley, resigned from the State Department today. Kammen has been in the role since February 2016 and has held many federal positions during the past two decades. He is a partisan hack and a prominent advocate of “global warming” theory.

In his shameful resignation letter, he slammed President Trump’s “attacks on core values of the United States.”

Then he falsely accused Trump of not condemning neo-Nazis and racism: “Your failure to condemn white supremacists and neo-Nazis has domestic and international ramifications. Particularly troubling to me is how your response to Charlottesville is consistent with a broader pattern of behavior that enables sexism and racism, and disregards the welfare of all Americans, the global community and the planet.”

Outrageously, the first letter of each paragraph in his resignation letter spells the word “IMPEACH.”

This is similar to another resignation letter sent last week. Members of the President’s Committee on Arts and the Humanities resigned en masse, and the first letter of each paragraph of their resignation letter spelled out the word “RESIST.”

That’s not very creative.

Regardless, this should be a reminder of why leaks happen and what types of problems State Department bureaucrats can cause. These hyper-partisan insiders are as political as anyone at the Democratic National Committee, and can do damage to the president with their access to classified federal government materials.

Good riddance to Daniel Kammen. Share this story if you’re glad to see him go!
