Cruz Fires Back At Boehner After His ‘Anatomically Impossible’ Insult

Ted Cruz fired back at John Boehner after the former Republican House Speaker rattled off an expletive-laced insult to the Texas senator while recording audio for his upcoming book.

Boehner reportedly went off-script in recording his memoir saying, “Oh, and Ted Cruz, go f*** yourself.”

“I can confirm there were some off-script moments during his recording of the audiobook,” a spokesman for Boehner revealed. “He pretty much just let it fly, as he did when he was working on the book itself. ”

The famously teary-eyed predecessor to Paul Ryan blamed his veering off the path on red wine.

“Poured myself a glass of something nice to read my audiobook,” he tweeted. “You can blame the wine for the expletives.”

The Ted Cruz/John Boehner Feud

Cruz, speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Florida, took an opportunity to fire back at Boehner, extending their longstanding feud.

Cruz began by joking that Boehner’s suggestion was, in fact, not a request he could fulfill.

“You know yesterday, John Boehner made some news,” he said. “He suggested that I do something that was anatomically impossible.”

The Texas senator and likely contender for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination then asked: “Who is John Boehner?”

Just Another Rift Between The Establishment And The Future

The Ted Cruz/John Boehner spat has been going on for years, mostly because Cruz is an actual conservative and a fighter while Boehner spent much of his speakership bowing down to Barack Obama, Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi.

In 2015, Cruz blasted Boehner for helping Democrats fund the government, Planned Parenthood, and the Iran nuclear deal.

“Speaker Boehner has decided to cut a deal with Leader Nancy Pelosi, the leader of the Democrats … and there were too many Republicans who were tired of seeing their leadership lead the Democrats, rather than lead the Republican Party,” Cruz fumed.

The Senator went on to suggest Boehner was resigning rather than facing repercussions for his actions.

“If he does what he and Leader McConnell promised, which is fund all of Barack Obama’s priorities, he would have lost his job,” claimed Cruz.

“So what did he do? He announced he’s resigning as Speaker and resigning as a member of Congress. That is unsurprising, but it also telegraphs the deal he’s just cut. It’s a deal to surrender and join with the Democrats.”

The following year, Boehner fired back, hammering Cruz as “Lucifer in the flesh” and a “jackass” before adding, “I have never worked with a more miserable son of a bitch in my life.”

Cruz responded to his insults at that time with a familiar retort, essentially asking ‘Who is John Boehner?’

“I’ve never worked with John Boehner. The truth of the matter is I don’t know the man,” he said. “I’ve met John Boehner two or three times in my life.”

At CPAC, Cruz also tried his hand with jokes about Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the New York Representative who accused him of attempted murder, and Bernie Sanders.

He warned of “dark times” ahead with Democrats in power adding, “Bernie’s wearing mittens and AOC is telling us she was murdered.”
