Clinton: Huma Abedin Broke Down Crying After Husband’s Sexting Scandal Led to Email Investigation

According to leaked excerpts of Hillary Clinton’s new election biography “What Happened,” former top aide Huma Abedin broke down in tears after learning that her husband Anthony Weiner’s sexting scandal had exposed her boss’s emails to further scrutiny at a crucial point during the 2016 election.

Clinton wrote that Abedin ‘burst into tears’ after former FBI director James Comey announced days before the election that he had “learned of the existence of emails that appear to be pertinent to the investigation.”

Those emails were discovered after investigators found them on devices used by Weiner and Abedin as they continued to probe the former’s explicit texts with a 15-year-old girl.

Abedin’s reaction apparently wasn’t ‘Oh my God, my husband is sexting with a minor,’ rather, it was ‘Oh crap, he’s killing my career and the chances of my boss becoming President.’

That’s a loose translation.

In an excerpt obtained by RadarOnline.com, Clinton writes that Abedin appeared “stricken” after hearing that the emails were under further investigation.

“This man is going to be the death of me!” she said while “bursting into tears,” Clinton said of Abedin.

“Anthony had already caused so much heartache,” the former Democrat candidate for President lamented. “And now this.”

It is a remarkably different reaction than Abedin had upon learning of her husband’s previous sexting scandal. In the video below, she responds by robotically asking Weiner, “What’s your press statement going to be?”

The marriage seems less of a concern than the job, emotions only arising when it effects Clinton.

The FBI investigation led to discovery of classified information ending up on devices used by Weiner, a man who repeatedly sent out texts and images to his lady friends.

Comey previously testified that this was the case before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

“Somehow, her (Abedin’s) emails were being forwarded to Anthony Weiner, including classified information,” Comey said, before adding, “Abedin, appears to have had a regular practice of forwarding emails to him for him to print out for her, so she could deliver them to the Secretary of State.”

Meanwhile, Weiner previously confessed to sending flirtatious emails for months with a 15-year-old saying “I have repeatedly demonstrated terrible judgement about the people I have communicated with online and the things I have sent.”

Clinton repeatedly blamed the FBI investigation and Comey for her election loss, saying “If the election had been on October 27, I would be your president.”

“She had done nothing wrong and was an invaluable member of my team,” Clinton wrote of Abedin. “I stuck by her the same way she has always stuck by me.”

In reality, Abedin was pulled from the campaign trail when word broke that her husband’s actions had led to further inquiry into Clinton’s emails. She was kept away from Clinton right up to Election Day.
