Liberals and biased reporters are busy this week blaming Russia for supposedly “hacking” and interfering with the 2016 Presidential election.
However, no one has been able to prove either the actors or their intent, which is why America’s top spy chief is not accepting the CIA’s assessment about Russian cyberattacks that supposedly helped President-elect Donald Trump.
Obama’s Director of National Intelligence James Clapper is not ready to accept the CIA’s opinion. Clapper said that all 17 intelligence agencies agree Russians were behind a hacking effort, but intelligence has to show a motive behind the attack – something that hasn’t been done.
The CIA has been wrong before – They were the ones that helped find the evidence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. We now know most of that intelligence to have been incorrect:
As Reuters reports:
“ODNI is not arguing that the agency (CIA) is wrong, only that they can’t prove intent,” said one of the three U.S. officials. “Of course they can’t, absent agents in on the decision-making in Moscow.”
The Federal Bureau of Investigation, whose evidentiary standards require it to make cases that can stand up in court, declined to accept the CIA’s analysis – a deductive assessment of the available intelligence – for the same reason, the three officials said.
The ODNI, headed by James Clapper, was established after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the recommendation of the commission that investigated the attacks. The commission, which identified major intelligence failures, recommended the office’s creation to improve coordination among U.S. intelligence agencies.
In October, the U.S. government formally accused Russia of a campaign of cyber attacks against American political organizations ahead of the Nov. 8 presidential election. Democratic President Barack Obama has said he warned Russian President Vladimir Putin about consequences for the attacks.
Reports of the assessment by the CIA, which has not publicly disclosed its findings, have prompted congressional leaders to call for an investigation.
Hillary Clinton supporters and the liberal media desperately want something – ANYTHING! – to blame for the most devastating political defeat in a generation. But the truth is – the American people decided that they were tired of having Clintons and the political elites in the White House, which is why they voted for successful businessman Donald Trump.
House Speaker Paul Ryan agrees there should be an investigation but reminded us that it shouldn’t change the results of the 2016 election: “We must condemn and push back forcefully against any state-sponsored cyberattacks on our democratic process. As we work to protect our democracy from foreign influence, we should not cast doubt on the clear and decisive outcome of this election.”
No amount of foreign interference could explain the millions of Americans who proudly voted Trump on Election Day. And Donald J. Trump is our next President.
