Actor Chris Pratt accepted a Teen Choice Award for Choice Sci-Fi Movie Actor this past weekend, his first public appearance since announcing the separation of he and wife Anna Faris.
Despite this difficult time, Pratt made it clear he continues to be guided through the tough times, and the award-winning times, by one person.
“I would not be here…without my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,” the Jurassic World actor announced upon accepting his award.

What a terrific role model for today’s teens – a man who makes some stumbles along the path of life, but continues to put his faith in God.

Chris Pratt stepped out for the first time since announcing his separation with Anna Faris Sunday. Accepting the surfboard for choice sci-fi movie actor at the Teen Choice Awards, he high-fived fans as he walked across the stage, sans wedding ring, People reports.
“Wow, thank you, I love you too,” he said. “I would not be here…without my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
While holding the surfboard trophy, Pratt joked that when he first arrived in Los Angeles, he told his agent that he surfed, marking what he says was the first of many lies he’s told since.
In a profile for Vanity Fair, Pratt told a story about a man who helped guide him toward a religious path.
He met a man in Maui who said, “Jesus told me to talk to you.”
“At that moment I was like, I think I have to go with this guy,” Pratt explained. “He took me to church. Over the next few days I surprised my friends by declaring that I was going to change my life.”
Since then, the Hollywood star has tried living a pro-American, pro-Christian life by example.

In a world where sex sells, Pratt has also vowed to never do explicit scenes in his movies, citing it as a violation of his Christian beliefs.
This past Easter, he joined a few friends in celebrating the holiday by placing a cross upon a hill.
Now Pratt’s inspiring young impressionable minds who watch his incredibly popular movies through an admiration for his “Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
