In North Carolina, a High School student was shot in Greenville County and four schools are on lockdown.
This is tragic!
A student at Southside High School was shot in the school cafeteria and several schools in the Greenville area are on alert Friday morning.
The Greenville County School District reports the student wounded at Southside High School is conscious and talking and was taken to a hospital by EMS.
Police are on the scene investigating and Southside High School is on lockdown. Thomas E. Kerns Elementary in the area is also on lock down.
Blythe Elementary and Grove Elementary have been advised to go on partial lockdown.
The district says an announcement will be made soon about when students can be picked up. Police have set up a perimeter around Southside HS and parents will not be allowed inside the perimeter.
