Former Speaker John Boehner (R-OH), is no fan of Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX). A new media report caught Boehner referring to Cruz as “Lucifer in the flesh” and a “jackass.” Boenher added, “I have never worked with a more miserable son of a bitch in my life.”
“I have Democrat friends and Republican friends. I get along with almost everyone,” Boehner announced. Then he dropped a bombshell… He came as close to endorsing conservative businessman Donald J. Trump as possible. This is a big deal:
At Stanford, a Boehner unburdened by the shackles of the office reportedly garnered laughter and smiles from the attendees as he struck a more informal tone than in most of his past previous appearances.
He recounted how he used to play golf with Donald Trump and said they were “texting buddies.”[…]
Boehner told the crowd he’d support Trump in the general election, but not Cruz.
A powerful former Speaker of the House and key figure of the political establishment is clearly conceding that Trump is – by far – the better candidate for President. Boehner’s announcement is sending shockwaves throughout Washington, D.C. today and Boehner’s perceived endorsement should be very helpful among certain uncommitted delegates during the RNC convention later this summer in Cleveland, Ohio.
Boehner also speculated that Hillary Clinton’s legal troubles are so vast and serious that it’s possible we will see Vice President Joe Biden “parachuting” into the race at the last minute, with the support of President Barack Obama. Considering how this presidential campaign cycle has been so far, anything is possible!
