Top Obama Aide Ben Rhodes a ‘Person of Interest’ In Unmasking Investigation

An explosive report from Circa indicates that Ben Rhodes, former deputy national security adviser for strategic communication to president Barack Obama, is now a “person of interest” in the House Intelligence Committee’s unmasking investigation.

Rhodes is as slimy as it gets among former Obama Administration officials, having sold America up a river in the Iran nuclear negotiations and bragging to the New York Times Magazine about his ability to lie to the American media regarding details of the deal.

Now, he is reportedly the center of an investigation into unmasking of Trump campaign associates and the “selective, anonymous leaking” of information for political purposes.

Ben Rhodes, a former national security advisor in the Obama administration, is now considered a “person of interest” in an investigation by the House Intelligence Committee into the “unmasking” scandal.

According to a report from Circa News, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) sent a letter to the National Security Agency asking for information in regards to unmasking requests from Rhodes.

Congressional sources told Circa that the committee wants to know how many unmasking requests Rhodes made from Jan. 1, 2016 to Jan. 20, 2017.

Nunes announced in a letter to the Director of National Intelligence last week that the committee had “found evidence that current and former government officials had easy access to U.S. person information and that it is possible that they used this information to achieve partisan political purposes, including the selective, anonymous leaking of such information.”

Senator Lindsey Graham previously warned of congressional hearings involving Rhodes and former national security adviser to Obama, Susan Rice, to determine if they had illegally obtained intelligence reports to use against President Trump’s associates.

“They manipulated the information, I think for political reason,” Graham said. “So, when it comes to Susan Rice and Ben Rhodes, verify, don’t trust.”

Rhodes, along with several other Obama Administration officials, has also been alleged to have spied on Fox News host, Sean Hannity.

“I’ll be very rich if in fact it happened,” Hannity threatened. “I’ll sue Obama himself, Ben Rhodes, Susan Rice — I’ll sue them all by name in a civil action.”
