Barron Trump Moving to White House, First Son since JFK Jr

Ever since Donald J. Trump took office in January, he has spent most nights alone in the White House. His wife Melania, and their young son Barron, have so far chosen to remain in New York City to allow Barron to finish school, and not be disrupted by a sudden move to Washington, D.C.

While the president does get to see Melania and their son on most weekends, the situation is far from ideal, which is why Melania has announced she and Barron will move into the White House this summer.

When the Trumps are finally reunited, Barron Trump will have achieved something quite historic, being the first son of a president to live in the White House since John F. Kennedy Jr. lived there starting in 1961.

Barron and Melania have visited the White House on several occasions in recent weeks, most notably to celebrate the annual White House Easter Egg Roll:

Melania’s decision to remain in New York with her son so he can finish the school year shows how much she values her son remaining a normal child. And while Barron will have to give up full-time life in New York, he is planning on inviting some of his school friends to visit him in the White House.

From The New York Daily News:

With the school year winding down, both Melania and Barron Trump are getting in a Washington, D.C., state of mind, according to sources with ties to the First Lady and her son, who celebrated his 11th birthday last week.

“Barron has been asking some of his school friends to come visit him in the White House,” we’re told. “He has said to his parents, ‘I hope there are bedrooms for my friends to come visit.’ ”

According to our insider, Barron has “his own little wing” in Trump Tower, so space has never been an issue. It seems that his parents have convinced him that it won’t be a problem at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., either. “Kids at his school are already planning sleepovers,” says our source, referring to the Upper West Side’s Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School.

As a young child, leaving your life behind and moving to the White House cannot be an easy experience, but President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump have tried their best to keep things as normal as possible for their son.

Certainly Barron’s friends will be jealous that he will be living in the White House, but at least they get the opportunity to come visit him!
