Attorney General William Barr to Nancy Pelosi: ‘Did You Bring Your Handcuffs?

The Mueller report has been submitted and no crimes were found, but the Russia collusion hoax still never ends and Democrats have now turned their focus to Attorney General William Barr. The House Judiciary Committee has now decided to hold AG Barr in contempt, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has not decided if she will hold a full vote.

But how serious is any of this?

An short conversation between Barr and Pelosi Wednesday morning got interesting. CNN correspondent Manu Raj tweeted, “Barr and Pelosi had an exchange this morning in front of Capitol. As they waited for Trump, Barr quipped to Pelosi: ‘Madam Speaker, did you bring your handcuffs?’

Pelosi said the House Sergeant at Arms was present if necessary. The two laughed about it, per two witnesses.”

New York Times’ Nicholas Fandos had a similar report, tweeting “Today at a law enforcement ceremony at Capitol: AG Barr approached Pelosi, shook her hand: ‘Madam Speaker, did you bring your handcuffs?’

Pelosi smiled and, per a bystander, told Barr the House Sergeant at Arms was there should an arrest be needed. Barr laughed; walked away.”

The Hill reports that this interaction occurred while both Barr and Pelosi were waiting for President Trump to arrive from the annual National Peace Officers’ Memorial Service.

“As those seated on the platform waited for the president’s arrival in an adjacent tent, Attorney General Barr approached Speaker Pelosi, shook her hand and said loudly, ‘Madam Speaker, did you bring your handcuffs?’” a bystander told The Hill.

“The speaker, not missing a beat, smiled and indicated to the attorney general that the House sergeant-at-arms was present at the ceremony should an arrest be necessary. The attorney general chuckled and walked away,” the bystander also told the Hill.

These are but three accounts of this exchange. There are more.

This was obviously a humorous exchange, but when the Democrat House majority’s speaker is winking and laughing – how serious are the rest of us supposed to take this nonsense?

President Donald Trump has said this whole Russia collusion fantasy is finally over and it’s time to move on.
