It’s probably a safe bet that the Secret Service will be paying a visit to the home of celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain sometime in the near future.
Bourdain, host of the CNN program “Parts Unknown,” was asked what he might whip up if he had to cater a peace summit involving President Trump and North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un.
When discussing what he would put in the dish of both world leaders, the CNN host simply replied, “Hemlock.”
Hemlock is a poisonous plant that appears on MNN’s “17 Plants That Could Kill You” list. It causes stomach pains, vomiting, and progressive paralysis of the central nervous system.

Fox News reached out to Bourdain to clarify his comment, to which he claimed he meant to say “kale” instead of hemlock.
Bourdain dined with President Obama a year ago and was asked about doing the same with then-candidate Donald Trump.
“Absolutely f***ing not,” he replied.
“I’ve been a New Yorker most of my life, [and] for better or worse Mr. Trump is a New Yorker,” Bourdain added. “We know him well here. We’ve watched how he does business and we’ve watched him say things and then we’ve seen whether or not he did those things, we have seen how he treats the people he does business with. I would give the same answer that I would have given 10 years ago, when he was just as loathsome.”
Now he’s graduated from simply thinking Trump is loathsome to wanting to feed him poisonous plants.
Hmmm, noted. @Bourdain would like to poison Trump if given the opportunity. Any opinion on this @SecretService ? pic.twitter.com/eYYGfEGIMN

Bourdain has said that since Mr. Trump has entered the political fray, allies from around the world now view America as a nation “to be ridiculed or pitied.”
The CNN chef also offered his assessment of Kim Jong-un, saying he was nothing more than a “chubby, evil little f—.”
We’ll grant him that one.
Still, had anyone on Fox News said they’d be serving hemlock to Hillary Clinton or President Obama, there’d be 24/7 coverage on CNN. It’ll be interesting to see how they respond to this.
