Alex Jones Releases Audio of Megyn Kelly Promising Softball Interview – NBC Responds

The controversy of Megyn Kelly’s low-rated new show is exploding after she agreed to interview radio host Alex Jones.

NBC hosted a meeting to discuss what a disaster her show has been and things just took a turn for the worse.

Jones knew exactly what type of journalist Megyn Kelly is, and how desperate she is to make her post-Fox News career a success. That’s why he secretly tape recorded their phone calls.

Megyn has been caught assuring Jones the interview would be fair and no challenging questions would be asked. But that’s not what happened.

Now, Jones has released the tapes before the heavily edited interview airs. And it’s bad news for Megyn Kelly:

Alex Jones released more pre-interview audio of Megyn Kelly late Thursday night and early Friday that includes the NBC News host saying Jones “became very fascinating” to her while separately assuring him the interview won’t be “some kind of gotcha piece.”

“The reason you are interesting to me is because I followed your custody case, and I think you had a very good point about how the media was covering it and for some reason treated you and your family and what was going on as fair game when they never would have done that if you were a mainstream media figure,” said Kelly, a former Fox News host, to Jones.

“I saw a different side of you in that whole thing and, you know, you just became very fascinating to me.”

On Thursday night, Jones, offered a preview of what was going to be released in a 2-minute, 20-second video clip that appears to include off-the-record conversation with Kelly. The interview is set to air Sunday.

Here is the audio from Jones’ YouTube Channel:

On his most recent show, Jones fired both barrels at Megyn Kelly:

The host also called out the “mainstream media,” including The Hollywood Reporter, for its recent coverage of his sit-down with Kelly. Jones claimed that his words were taken out of context and heavily edited in promo clips for the interview. “I got it all on tape, sweetheart,” he said during Thursday’s Infowars show. “I did it to protect myself so I can show what she really did.”

“What are they going to do, when I’ve got the tapes of what really happened?” Jones added, saying that Kelly acted like she was “obsessed with him.” “It was worse than in college in a topless bar when women try to get you to pay for a dance.”

Alex Jones is controversial, but it looks like he’s 100% right. Megyn was being nice behind the scenes and completely lied about how the final interview would turn out.

NBC submitted this response to The Hill about the Jones interview: “Despite Alex Jones’ efforts to distract from and ultimately prevent the airing of our report, we remain committed to giving viewers context and insight into a controversial and polarizing figure, how he relates to the president of the United States and influences others, and to getting this serious story right. Tune in Sunday.”

There are plenty of reasons to raise questions about Alex Jones. But there’s no denying his popularity and influence on politics. He’s a good choice for an interview, but it’s clear Megyn Kelly tried to pull a fast one on him.

How Megyn Kelly conducted herself is unprofessional. Her NBC career seems to be doomed.
