After Performance, Country Singer Abby Nicole Dies in UTV Crash

Abby Nicole passed away after a utility task vehicle (UTV) crash late Sunday. It happened at the Thayer County Fairgrounds, following her concert.

Nicole was riding a UTV near the racetrack, and died an hour after arriving at the hospital. Police are still investigating.

This is tragic:

The Thayer County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call at 4:20 a.m. that a 25 year-old female was injured near the racetrack while riding inside a UTV. Deshler Rescue and sheriff’s deputies responded. The victim was transported to Thayer County Health Services in Hebron where Abby Uecker, of Norfolk, succumbed to her injuries at 5:30 a.m.

Troopers will continue to investigation the incident and forward reports to the Thayer County Attorney.

Uecker is listed as the lead singer for Abby Nicole and County Road. According to the country and classic rock band’s Facebook page, they performed both Friday and Saturday night at the Thayer County Fair.

The 2017 Thayer County Fair started Wednesday, July 19 and ended Saturday evening.

Abby Nicole released her second single, Back When We Were Burning in March.

This is a tragic loss of a talented country singer who had a bright future. Heartbreaking!

Let us pray for Nicole’s family during this difficult time. RIP.
